What Is Publication Supply Service ?

Publication Supply Service is a service whereby library or institution can make a request to borrow books or receive documents from UM Library when the required material is unavailable at your library or institution. This service is offered through Inter-Library Loan (ILL) service (books) and Document Supply Service (article journal, book chapter and conference paper).

Members of Persidangan Perpustakaan Universiti Dan Perpustakaan Negara Malaysia (PERPUN)
Members of UM Library Sistem Pembekalan Penerbitan (SPP UM)

Interlibrary Loan Service

Almost every books on shelves is available for loan, except:

Current, Bound and unbound journals and newspapers
Reference Collection
Academic Reserve Collection
Rare Collection
Microforms
Free Range Reading Materials
Theses and Academic Exercises
Media Materials
Compact Disks

Loan Limits And Period

10 books for 30 days (PERPUN) / 14 days (SPP UM)

Document Delivery Service (DDS)

Photocopy of a journal article, book chapter or conference paper in the Library collection.

All requests must comply with the copyright law of Malaysia. The copyright law of Malaysia (Copyright Act (Act (332) governs copyrighting and other productions of copyrighted material.
